"OUR magical woodlands" was the theme for a special exhibition and a sculpture works trail in the woods to mark the endof art week at Grayswood Infant School.

Headteacher Anne Bristow said: "Art week at the end of the year brings together all the skills learned during the school year as well as new skills.

"All the children worked really hard during the week on various art projects using a range of different techniques and materials.

"It was busy and hectic but children and staff had great fun and the exhibition was a great success. The hall was transformed into a magical woodland by Jean Melrose our art leader."

The magical scene included fairy catchers, fairies in a jar, scary woodland creature masks, clay leaf sculptures, magic toadstools, leaf fairies, and bluebell wood paintings.
