A BRAVE seven-year-old girl escaped the clutches of an attacker who grabbed her as she played with friends last week.
The girl was with two friends in St Lucia Park, Bordon at around 5 pm on Tuesday, July 22, when she clambered over a wall to fetch a lost ball.
However, once she was over the wall and out of the sight of her friends, she was confronted by a man who grabbed her.
The youngster managed to escape from the manÕs clutches and ran back to her home where her family alerted police.
Now police are appealing for witnesses to help them track down the man who tried to make off with the girl, and a second man, who was spotted in a nearby car and who may have been an accomplice.
Even although the men followed the girl for a short distance, she managed to lose them in St Lucia Park, and neither she nor her friends saw in which direction the men made off.
Police said the girl was not injured in the incident.
The alleged attacker is described as white, in his early 20s, with dark spiky hair. He was wearing a blue and white horizontal striped short sleeved top and dark track suit bottoms.
The second man is described as white, in his early 20s. He was wearing a dark woolly hat.
He was seen sitting in a parked red car and police have urged anyone who saw the vehicle before or after the incident to come forward.
