THE Whitehill and Bordon project has been named as a runner-up in a national award for the "innovative way" the town will be regenerated. The award recognises organisations and projects which deliver "sustainable energy at a local level" and, as a result, bring "social and environmental benefits" to an area. The National Energy Foundation nominated three initiatives for the award which it felt were innovative, exemplary and replicable - and Whitehill and Bordon was joint runner-up with Milton Keynes. Eco Bicester won the award. For full story, see this week's Bordon Herald.
