YOUNGSTERS discovered the inventors and scientists of Farnham’s past on Saturday at the Museum of Farnham’s monthly museum club.

The hands-on ‘Planes, trains and automobiles!’ workshop explored the impact on the world of inventors such as John Henry Knight, who built one of Britain’s first petrol-powered motor vehicles among many other creations.

Farnham Museum’s monthly museum club has been running for more than 25 years and covers a wide range of topics provided by specialists and the museum’s own in-house education team.

Sessions run once a month on Saturday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm and can accommodate up to 20 children aged between five and nine years old.

Places cost £10 per child and must be booked in advance.
