Dennis Taylor, BBC snooker commentator and one of the most popular and skilful players to grace the circuit over a professional career of nearly 30 years, will be the star attraction at the Farnham & District League's presentation evening at Lindford WMC on Friday, June 29.
The league has made it a high-profile event in recent years and the Irish star follows in the footsteps Ray Reardon, Willie Thorne and Jimmy White.
Dennis Taylor will be presenting the trophies, playing snooker against the league's top players, and demonstrating his famous trick shots.
He reached the World Championship final in 1979, when he lost to Terry Griffiths, and a major title eluded him until he won the Rothman's Grand Prix tournament in 1984.
He blossomed late as a player and the highlight of his career came in 1985 when he defeated Steve Davis in the Embassy World Championships.
In probably the greatest match ever played, Taylor came from 7-0 down to finally triumph 18-17. Who will ever forget the last frame and that final black?
