THINGS are all set to go a bit quackers down on the river.
The occasion is tomorrow’s 32nd running of the annual Farnham Duck Race on the River Wey at Gostrey Meadow.
Organised by Farnham Weyside Rotary Club, the day of fun starts at 10am with the duck racing getting under way at noon.
Hundreds of people are expected to come and enjoy all the family-friendly fun on offer, especially the spectacle of 300 plastic ducks racing down the river in a series of heats.
Tickets cost £1 each and are on sale on the day, as well as around Farnham in the build-up to the event. There are prizes for the winners of each heat and for the final winner.
The day is packed with fun and entertainment with dozens of stalls to visit, food and drink to enjoy and all the fun of the fair for the children.
The duck race raises thousands of pounds for charity each year – and this year is supporting Challengers.
