THE Elstead Duck Races have come round again, taking place this Saturday (May 13) at The Mill in Farnham Road, Elstead.

Thanks again to the pub’s generous support of this increasingly popular village event organisers will be bringing visitors nail biting racing drama from 11.30am to 1pm. Whether sunshine or not there is no such thing as bad weather for ducks.

Gates open at 11.30am and racing begins at noon. This is followed by a hog roast, all to raise money for St James Primary School. In addition to the duck races there is the opportunity to support the village business sponsors in the Giant Duck race with an array prizes up for grabs, for those who guess the winner.

Racing ducks are on sale in a variety of shops in the village and any remaining will be sold on the day, before the races commence - and every owner names their duck so get thinking.
