SHERLOCK Holmes fans of all ages – and from all corners of the globe – flocked to Hindhead and Haslemere at the weekend to attend a festival dedicated to Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of the famous fictional detective.

The special weekend included lectures on Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes by well-known writer Andrew Lycett and Andrew Lane, the creator of the Young Sherlock Holmes novels, who presented prizes to young short story winners at the museum.

The winners were Isobel Prandle, Amy Campbell, Charlotte Griffiths Ruby Taylor, Alasdair Miller, Houssein Guney Ricky Braighton, David Alderman and Christopher Parker.
