Intrepid Izabella left her husband and two young children behind last month and headed to Kathmandu. During the 17 days she was in Nepal, she reached altitudes in excess of 5,545m at Kala Patthar, and arrived at Everest Base Camp in early November.
She trekked through stunning scenery in extreme temperatures but was inspired by the challenge.
Izabela decided to donate her sponsorship money to Alton Cardiac Rehab, which is Alton Sainsbury’s charity of the year for 2016-17.
Several store colleagues have made use of Rehab’s excellent services and they were keen to give something back to the service.
Donations in support of Izabela’s endeavour can be left at the customer service desk at Sainsbury’s Draymans Way store in Alton. All monies raised will go to Rehab to help with their rehabilitation of people with cardiac problems.
