BRAMSHOTT and Liphook Parish Council has elected a new chairman, after Michael Croucher stepped down from the post he had held for the last three years.
In the reshuffle, Jane Ives is the new chairman, with Jeanette Kirby becoming vice-chairman. Both have stepped down from chairing other committees, namely the Liphook Millennium Centre management committee and planning committee respectively.
The new recreation committee chairman is Mrs Kirby and Don Jerrard returns to the post of planning chairman while Mr Croucher is in charge of the Liphook Millennium Centre management committe. He was also voted in as chairman of the finance and policy committee, which now includes Susan Garnett, as well as Mrs Ives, Trevor Maroney, Mrs Kirby and Mr Jerrard as members.
Barbara Easton was elected vice-chairman of planning, while the other committees will elect their officers at their first meeting. James Enticknap-Green is a new addition to the Millennium Centre management committee.
Mrs Ives will be the parish council representative on the Bramshott and Liphook Preservation Society and recreation committee memeber Thea Jourdan is its new representative at Liphook Youth Club.
