SPORTING legend Dennis Wise, the former Chelsea FC captain and England midfielder, has scored a direct hit for Jigsaw School, which educates children with autism spectrum disorders at Dunsfold Park.
Mr Wise in his capacity as patron and trustee of the Dennis Wise and Frankham Group Charitable Trust, has presented the school with a 17-seat minibus, worth £28,000.
“Our aim is to raise enough money to provide 100 minibuses to schools and charities for children and adults with disabilities,” he said. “I really enjoyed meeting the pupils at Jigsaw School and am very pleased to be able to help them get out to enjoy new places and experiences.”
Kate Grant, CEO of Jigsaw Trust, added: “We are absolutely delighted with this new minibus and I would like to thank the Dennis Wise and Frankham Group Charitable Trust. Their generous support means that our pupils will be able to enjoy off-site activities on a more regular basis.’
