NEAR perfect weather conditions helped make the fifth annual 10k Jigsaw Run the most successful yet with almost 400 runners taking to the track at Dunsfold Park.

Based at the airfield, The Jigsaw Trust specialises in supporting children and young adults with an autism spectrum disorder. Local independent financial advisors, Informed Choice, sponsored and organised the charitable run.

Runners took in two laps of Dunsfold Park’s perimeter road and runway, past the resident Boeing 747 and crossing the famous BBC Top Gear track. First man past the post was Daniel Hull (34m 23s) and fastest female was Sophie Crumly (37m 52s).

Jigsaw community and events fundraiser Sally Ward said: “The Jigsaw Run is getting bigger and better than ever. The feedback we receive tells us that Dunsfold Park is an ideal course to achieve ‘Personal Bests’ with its closed flat roads and some interesting landmarks to run past plus, of course, the fun of crossing the Top Gear line.

“We are grateful to everyone who has taken part today for contributing to Jigsaw’s fundraising endeavours and we hope that the serious runners achieved the times they were aiming for whilst the fun runners had a good time too.”
