ONE of the area's largest employers, Syngenta, formerly Zeneca, has announced that it is to sell off its Fernhurst site with the lost of up to 170 local jobs.
The shock announcement was made on Wednesday and a letter outlining the plans of the company has been sent to all the staff at the agrochemicals business.
