HEADLEY Down Community Association invited jobseekers to Woodlands Hall to help them get "work ready".

The employability workshop day aimed to help residents develop the necessary skills to find their way into work.

Community project worker Helen Pugh said last month's event was a success.

"Feedback from organisations and residents was all very good and all organisations have said they would like to come back," she said.

"All residents were very pleased and they've all gone away with the information they came for.

"Hopefully now we'll keep the ball moving and individuals within those organisations will be supporting residents directly."

She went on to thank attendees Tom Watson and Matt Burt for the "fantastic job" they did weaving a living willow dome in the garden.
