HERALD readers are being challenged to enter into a public debate about controversial proposals put forward by the government which will force Hampshire, in common with rural areas throughout the southeast, to allow development on greenfield sites.
Bentley resident Petrina Rance urges local residents to take a stand. "If the countryside can rise in unison to fight for its dubious right to hunt, surely the people of Hampshire and Surrey can join together to save the countryside itself and help prevent developers fuelling the growing inequity between the booming south and the declining north," she says.
