A church initiative has been praised by Farnham councillors with nearly £5,000 being handed over to continue its good work in the community.
Town councillors agreed on Thursday, September 18, to award £4,875 to the Jubilee Hub so it can continue its “substantial package of work” over the current financial year.
The hub, which is an offshoot of Jubilee Church, has impressed with its programme of activities and initiatives like a pilot café, holiday events and Den Club nights.
There’s also been weekly visits to Weydon School, youth club expansion, an information evening which drew key professionals and an outreach to parents with more initiatives planned.
The grant proposed by the FTC Community & Wellbeing committee was unanimously approved by full council.
