A TOWN council working party organising a celebration to mark the Queen's diamond jubilee came under fire from councillors this week, for "keeping them in the dark over plans" before making them public.
Councillors said they were surprised to read about the plans in The Herald last week, and also raised concerns over the suitability of a proposed bandstand at the Heath to be built for the event.
