SOUVENIR programmes outlining AltonÕs golden jubilee celebrations are now available at several outlets within the town.
Priced at £1, the glossy gold and purple covered booklet contains details of events being staged from Saturday, June 1, through to June 8, including AltonÕs major golden jubilee street festival on Monday, June 3, which looks set to rival any in the area.
The booklet also includes a regal picture of the Queen, a message from town mayor David Willoughby, silver jubilee memories courtesy of deputy town mayor John Smith, and a brief snap-shot of mind-jogging events which have occurred over the past 50 years.
Programmes may be purchased from the Alton Tourist Information Centre in Cross and Pillory Lane, the Alton Herald office in the Market Square, Alton Community Centre, the Big Balloon Company in the High Street, and Alton Sports Centre.
