FARNHAM Town Council has announced that the new Farnham Farmers' Market will be launched on Sunday, June 24.
Trading will take place between 10 am and 4 pm in the Central Car Park and so far 35 local farmers and growers have booked stalls.
Originally planned to have started earlier in the year, the preparations for the Farnham Farmers' Markets were halted by the outbreak of foot-and- mouth disease.
However, plans are now back in full swing. Heather Muir, Farmers' Markets co-ordinator for Farnham Town Council said: "This is an exciting development for Farnham. Local producers have been extremely enthusiastic and, with so many signing up for the first market on June 24, consumers can expect to see a wide range of all the finest, freshest local produce available including oven-ready game, smoked trout, speciality cheeses and the best of the season's vegetables."
The Farnham Farmers' Markets will be held on the fourth Sunday of every month.
