LOOKING for an adrenalin hit which is out of this world? Then why not sign up to a Phyllis Tuckwell skydive?
Run by the Army Parachute Association at the UK’s largest skydiving drop zone, in Netheravon, Wiltshire, the skydives are held to raise money Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
After an in-depth training session at the site, parachutists will be taken to the aircraft and attached to their experienced tandem instructor.
At 12,000 feet participants will both make the jump, experiencing freefall speeds in excess of 120 miles per hour before their instructor deploys the parachute canopy, to begin the gentle five-minute descent to the landing zone.
The skydive will take place on Wednesday, September 27. Registration is £50 and Phyllis Tuckwell asks that people raise a minimum of £450 in sponsorship.
