A FARMER, whose sheep have been killed, maimed and terrified into aborting, has vowed to shoot the next dog seen worrying his stock.
Gordon Wyeth of Maple Farm at Ropley, has been a sheep farmer for 25 years and looks after 7,000 sheep across the county, including 3,500 of his own New Zealand Romneys.
He says sheep worrying is on the increase.
His anger and frustration has been fuelled by a recent court case in which an owner, whose dog may have twice savaged his flock, got off with a £316 fine.
