OLDER people, families and friends are being urged to look at some simple steps to keeping warm and well this winter.
The Surrey Health and Wellbeing Board is offering tips and advice as temperatures start to plunge as well as information on where to get financial help.
By using the www.healthysurrey.org.uk website, people will be able to find out about planning ahead to ensure medical supplies remain stocked up, centres older people can use, where to get a free flu jab and ways of keeping warm.
Helyn Clack, joint chairman of the Health and Wellbeing Board, said: “Winter can cause real problems, particularly for older people, and we want to help people keep warm, well and safe.”
