KELLY’S Storage Charity Events are repeating their hugely popular cycle sportive in May, with every penny raised going to benefit a local charity, Challengers, which provides play and leisure for disabled children across Surrey and Hampshire.

The Kelly’s Cycle Challenge on Sunday, May 14, starts from a race HQ on the doorstep of Alice Holt forest and promises 100 per cent rural routes through mile upon mile of stunning Surrey and Hampshire scenery.

There will be three distances to choose from plus a special seven-mile route for families with children. Whichever route is chosen, all riders can be sure of a truly scenic cycle.

The event is professionally organised and the routes fully supported with mobile mechanics and feed stations along the way with food supplied by Nourish, a natural kitchen based in Farnham.

There are many additional features such as free race photos online as well as entertaining children’s challenge.

This will be happening in the field from midmorning onwards, organisers are encouraging everyone to bring their little ones along with their bikes for what is set to be great fun, romping around a grass track and clambering over obstacles.

There are plenty of other things to do at HQ with a smoothie bike, mouthwatering food from Robyn’s Nest, massage by Farnham Chiropractic and Wellness Centre and other activities for all the family.

“This event is definitely a highlight in the Challengers’ calendar – it really does have something for everyone and there is always such a lovely atmosphere,” said Sophie Colwell, head of events and communications.

“Working with the team at Kelly’s Storage Charity Events is great, they run such professional events and give Challengers an opportunity to raise much-needed funds. What is even more special is 100 per cent of all money raised will go towards awesome and fun activities for disabled children and young people.”

Moira Martin, director of Kelly’s Storage Charity Events, said: “We aim to make our events offer the best possible customer experience to the entrants and at the same time raise as much as possible for incredible charities in our community.

“We hope that cyclists will choose our events over other similar ones when they see that 100 per cent of the money raised truly does go to charity and not to covering our costs.”
