A Surrey-based charity for children and adults with autism will soon be benefiting from several fund raising events on its behalf.

Jigsaw, based at Dunsfold Park, , was one of three worthy charities supported by Kelly’s Storage and its 10K Riverside Run which raised £1,826 in sponsorship, last month,

Thanking the staff with a card made by pupils, representatives of the charity visited Kelly’s Storage’s offices, in Guildford, to say a personal thank-you.

The Riverside Run proved to be ideal for seasoned runners who enjoyed the mixed terrain on the flat, off-road route, while newcomers found it to be a manageable first 10k.

Nick Thornton, who raised the most in sponsorship, was rewarded with a certificate, bottle of Champagne and a place in the Jigsaw Run, which is being held on Dunsfold Park, in November.

In addition to supporting Jigsaw through the run, Kelly’s staff also dressed up blue for a day in recognition of World Autism Awareness Day which raised a further £62.60.

Jigsaw’s community and events fundraiser Yvette Copping said: “We are incredibly grateful to Kelly’s Storage and the runners who raised money for us and also to the staff at Kelly’s for helping us raise awareness of autism.”
