PUTTING the heart back into Petersfield is top of the agenda at a crucial meeting this month.

Petersfield MP Damian Hinds will be joined by East Hampshire District Council chief executive Sandy Hopkins, a representative from the South Downs National Park Authority, and a delegation from the Association of Petersfield Businesses (APB) for the special closed meeting on February 17 at Antrobus House, on College Street.

They are set to report on the effect the downturn in the economy is having on retailers and other businesses in the town and what can be done to reverse the trend.
