DESPITE continuous rain on the half term Tuesday over 80 youngsters and their carers visited Haslemere Museum to see the animals from Mill Cottage Farm.
While the animals spent the day in the museum meadow visitors could stroke and help feed them. They included sheep, goats, a pig, llamas, a turkey, ducks, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs.
Museum education officer Kay Topping said: “The rabbits and guinea pigs proved especially popular as they were happy to be picked up and cuddled! The Mill Cottage Farm staff were excellent and really helped visitors interact with the animals.
“Visitors could also take part in craft activities and during the day a whole herd of pom-pom sheep must have been made!
“It was a shame the weather was so awful as it meant we had fewer visitors than we hoped for, but it was really lovely to see those that did brave the weather have such a lovely time.
