A SPECIAL serving of Super Noodles – the miniature Shetland Pony Pals star – proved to be a big attraction at Haslewey Community Centre.

Caroline Seignot-Griffiths founded Grayswood-based Pony Pals.

Her team, which also features palomino Mr Cheddar and miniature donkey Mr Kipling, are much in demand for the therapeutic visits they make to nursing and residential homes, children’s hospices, community centres and nursery schools.

At the free Haslewey event, children built their confidence and knowledge while grooming Super Noodles and decorating his mane with ribbons and hair clips.

Haslewey manager Kerry Morren-Jeffs said. “The children got the chance to plait and decorate Super Noodles’ mane, make bead necklaces to hang around his neck, play games and take it in turns to walk him around a miniature assault course.

“Maurice the guinea pig was also on hand for strokes and cuddles.

“We look forward to seeing more people throughout the summer holidays, enjoying the free kids’ events at Haslewey and we still have a few places left for the Teenage Wellbeing Roadshow, on Wednesday, August 24.”
