RESIDENTS and staff at Kingsdale Resource Centre for the Elderly in Haslemere are celebrating after their hard-fought campaign to prevent the home from closure resulted in success this week.
An application by St Cloud Care plc to purchase Kingsdale as a going concern has been submitted and looks set to be approved by Surrey County Council's central services committee next month, meaning Kingsdale residents can remain in the home and will not need to transfer to other accommodation.
