KINGSDALE Resource Centre for the Elderly will be closed by the end of next October unless a suitable operator is found to take over the home as a going concern, Surrey County Council announced this week.

The decision, which was made at the social services committee meeting on Tuesday, came as a shock to the 33 residents and their families who have been fighting the closure since it was announced at the end of May.
