KINGSLEY held its summer fete, with live music, traditional stalls and great food available for visitors to enjoy.

The event, at the end of June, was heralded a success by organisers, with around £2,000 raised on the day.

These funds will go toward the upkeep of the Kingsley United Sports Club, in Sickles Lane, which hosts the annual fixture. As always, the fete featured popular attractions including a barbecue, tombola, skittles, beer, stalls and live music.

“It was a great day with a lovely friendly atmosphere,” said committee member Janette Francis.

“We couldn’t have asked for more really.”
