A BLACKMOOR resident has called for an amnesty on knives, after seeing all four tyres on her car slashed on Easter Sunday. For the victim, who did not wish to be identified, the latest incident marks the sixth attack on the car since July last year. As well as other incidents of tyre slashing, the vehicle has been doused with paint stripper and oven cleaner. "I'm absolutely devastated," the victim said. "They've slashed four tyres on Easter Sunday night. The car was fine at 7.30pm, but there were some funny noises outside at about a quarter to nine - I thought it was the fire cooling down. "But I when went out to put the rubbish out at nine, I saw what had happened. Some them are mighty big holes – I can nearly put my hands into the tyres." The individual continued to make a plea for the perpetrators to dispose of their weapons. "People should not be carrying such weapons, and I would like to see an amnesty on knives. "I would like the people that did this to hand their knives in to Whitehill Police Station voluntarily. We must try to get these knives off the street. "This is the sixth time they've done this to this car, and tyres were slashed on my old vehicle. "I am very upset. I have had a lot of experience of the world, but this is beyond a joke. I would never do anybody a bad turn. I've always gone out of my way for people. "They must have been on drugs or drink to be so wicked."Hampshire Police are investigating the matter, and anyone with any information should call 0845 0454545.
