A MAN who offered to bring a country pub to Petersfield town centre wants to build flats on part of his beer garden.

The Hawkins Canty Partnership has submitted plans to build a block of apartments at the back of The Old Drum beer garden.

The two-storey development will contain seven flats with parking on the ground floor and access from the Swan Street car park.
