THE early Christmas spirit is alive and well in Langrish.
Langrish House, a central feature of the village west of Petersfield, is holding a Christmas fayre on Sunday, at 2pm.
Homemade goodies from the Langrish Larder will be on offer alongside Christmas decorations, candles, cards, and ideas for presents.
There will also be a chance to win a Christmas cake by guessing its weight, as well as festive games and raffles.
And Father Christmas will be making an apearance in his grotto in the Old Vaults within Langrish House and all children will receive a small present.
Mince pies and mulled wine will add to the festive flavour of the fayre.
Entry to the fayre is free and all proceeds from the day will go toward the upkeep of St John the Evangelist Church in Langrish.
Reverend Jane Ball, vicar of the parish, said: “It’s great to see the community pull together and both villages (Langrish and Ramsdean) are committed in putting on a great event. It’s our first Christmas fayre and we’re all looking forward to it.”
After the fayre, a ‘scratch nativity’ – a popular festive offering where the Nativity unfolds without a script – will be held at Langrish Church on Christmas Eve, starting at 4pm.
