STAFF at Tesco in Bordon raised £800 over the weekend for Diabetes UK.

Dressed in festive clothing, members of staff took to bikes and cycled all the way to Lapland, all without leaving the store.

Covering the equivalent of 2,106 miles, staff cycled from 9am last Friday, December 6, until 4pm on the Sunday, December 8, managing to raise more than £800 for Tesco's national charity partner Diabetes UK.

Tesco stores across the country took part in the effort in thier bid to raise £10m for the charity.

The community champion at Tesco, Bordon Fiona Edwards, said the weekend was "excellent" with everyone getting in the Christmas spirit for a good cause.
