MORE than 70 people turned up at the United Reformed Church for the launch of new Farnham WI group, ‘Bake Natter and Roll’.

The queue stretched right around the side of the church while all the new memberships were being processed.

Once inside the ladies were welcomed with tea and cake served by committee members and were given goody bags containing the 2016 programme and some samples from Neals Yard Remedies.

The evening’s business included electing the committee and the signing of the WI Constitution by founder and president Cat Hoare and secretary Laura Butchart, before speed crafting commenced.

The lively and enthusiastic group of young and young-at-heart ladies meet on the third Thursday of each month at the United Reformed Church. Bake Natter and Roll hopes to uphold the traditional values of the WI but with a modern twist, more cakes, crafts and cocktails than jam and Jerusalem.
