THE owners of the Lion and Lamb Yard in Farnham are threatening legal action against Waverley Borough Council after being caught unawares by a hike in charges for the Lower Hart car park.
The car park belongs to Wolfe Properties, freeholders of the Lion and Lamb Yard, which leases it to the council.
Gerald Davidson, director of Wolfe Property Services, which manage the yard, is claiming the price increase is already deterring shoppers.
He has placed the matter in the hands of solicitors, claiming that the council has breached the terms of its lease.
