POTTERS Gate Sure Start Children’s Centre team hosted a mince pie and coffee event to pay a special thanks to all its volunteers, partners and supporters for their ongoing involvement with the centre.

Many of those invited have been involved with the centre for a number of years, such as the parents who volunteer in the centre, community members and partners from charitable organisations.

The aim of the team is to ensure that all children from birth to five years old have the best possible start in life. The centre has developed a place in the heart of the community since it opened seven years ago in January 2009.

The activities and events which promote learning and development are popular among families throughout the area. Centre manager Mary Goody thanked everyone for the time and support they give to the centre and it’s families but most of all for caring.
