Liam Humphrey has completed a hectic year of marathons, half-marathons and 10-mile runs to raise money for Haslemere-baesd charity, the Melanie Braysher Trust,

And the former town resident rounded them off by finishing the Great South Run in a personal best time of one hour, 17 minutes and 45 seconds..

Liam took up running in 2011 and raising money for the trust in 2014. This year, he has completed nine challenges, including marathons in Barcelona, Fussen, Berlin and Munich and raised £600 for the trust.

He is now looking forward to 2017, when he has his first entry into the London Marathon.

A spokesman for the chaity said. “We are so very proud of Liam and his achievements and very grateful for his continued support of the Melanie Braysher Trust.

The trust provides mobility equipment to disabled children and young people to help them become more independent.
