LOCAL health authority chief executive Jenny Griffiths has given assurances that Haslemere Hospital will remain open "for the foreseeable future".

It follows claims made by the Liberal Democrat parliamentary spokesman for South West Surrey Simon Cordon that Haslemere Hospital could close within three years.
