THE Liberal Democrats fired a warning shot at south west Surrey MP Virginia Bottomley this week, claiming that the Lib Dem by-election victory in Romsey made her seat a "cert" for them to win in the next general election.
But Mrs Bottomley described the claims as "ludicrous" and said she was "quietly confident" of retaining her seat in Parliament.
