GRAYSHOTT library assistants Lucy Clark and Margaret Webster have said goodbye to villagers as the library finally closed its doors after 41 years just two

days before Christmas.

A few days earlier Lucy, who has worked at Grayshott for 19 years, and fellow part-time library assistant Margaret, who has been at Grayshott library for 14 years, hosted a party when 103 people called in to wish them well.

Lucy said: "It was just our regular customers who came to say goodbye.

"It is like a family, the feeling of welcome that you get from people here. The atmosphere and the community spirit is amazing and we are going to miss it. It has been absolutely fantastic working here."
