BOOKWORMS and council bosses have heralded the £200,000 refurbishment of Petersfield library and tourist information centre.

Two months of work came to end on Tuesday when the new-look facility was officially opened by councillor Keith Chapman.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was greeted by a trumpet call before guests and curious folk got the chance to check out the remodelled building.
