THE most successful summer reading scheme ever held at Bordon library drew to a close last Friday with the annual garden party hosted by Bordon Junior School.

With more than 150 people in attendance – and with participation in the scheme reaching 300 – there was a special atmosphere for all the youngsters who were invited to the event following their completion of the reading challenge, which this year was entitled Creepy House.

Activities laid on for the youngsters included crafts, treasure hunts and adventure trails, and everyone attending received a commemorative scroll.
