FARNHAM Scouts' newly-installed defibrillator has been stolen from its campsite in Sheephatch Lane at Tilford.

The life-saving unit was funded by a donation from the Farnham Institute charity. Scout leaders were instructed in its use and what to do if someone has a heart attack.

District commissioner Philip German said he wondered who was so desperate for money as to steal the defibrillator and who they would they sell it to.

He continued: "We are really fed up and disappointed at human nature."
