RESIDENTS who have been alarmed to see the Christmas lights being put up in Haslemere High Street this week have been reassured by Chamber of Trade president Andrew Brownrigg.
Mr Brownrigg explained that the Southern Electricity Board is currently fitting the new digital timers for the lights to the lamp posts and decided to install the decorations at the same time before the weather gets too bad.
