EAST Street developers Crest Nicholson Sainsbury's look set to be given an extra year by Waverley Council to prove the viability of their scheme - the fourth extension to their contract since it was signed in 2003.
Two pleas - one from Farnham Society chairman Alan Gavaghan and another from architect Max Lyons, who provided a sketch of an alternative plan involving The Woolmead - have failed to convince Waverley's executive to delay the decision or allow the contract to run out.
