YEAR six pupils at Potters Gate School wowed audience members with their rendition of The Lion King.

The Farnham community alongside children from St Andrew’s School were invited to the special performance. One of the children came up close and personal to Pumbaa the warthog as he danced through the audience - he portrayed his character so well that the children actually believed he was a real animal.

Other members of the audience included Canon Derek Holbird, diocesan director of education, Michael Hall, diocesan, deputy director of education and Matthew Venton, deputy head of Weydon School.

The children have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and with the show’s mantra ‘Hakuna Matata’ (No Worries) ringing in their ears they are more than prepared for the next stage of their education.
