BUSINESSES in Farnham’s Lion & Lamb Yard have been hit by a power cut.
The power outage, which struck around 6am and affected a number of stores at the top of the shopping precinct, including Waitrose, Starbucks, Ruby Mane and Waterstone’s bookshop, is believed to have been caused by an underground fault, according to a spokesman for Scottish and Southern Energy.
The spokesman said: "It may be that one of the cables has deteriorated in the water and it is not coming back on. We are rerouting the power cable which is faulty."
The power is expected to be restored around noon, the spokesman added.
