ALTON Lions will again be selling Christmas cakes throughout November and December.

This year’s delivery of specially made cakes will be available on Saturday at the Lions craft market in Cross and Pillory Lane and the Market Square and again on Saturday, December 12, as well as at the town’s Yuletide Festival on the High Street on December 6.

The selection includes the popular iced rich fruit and rum cake, plain rich fruit and rum cake, and the stem ginger topped rich fruit and ground ginger cake.

The organisers say prices are being held at last year’s levels and all profits will go to charities around the district.
