Top-of-the-table Poole had to come from behind on Saturday to beat Liss by the odd goal in seven.
Poole were gifted an early goal by the sluggish Liss defence who allowed the dangerous Jason Lovell to head home at the far post.
It took Liss 30 minutes to get into the game and once they started to apply pressure, Poole's defence did not look so secure.
The equaliser came after 35 minutes. A Russell Smith corner was played to the near post and Andy Neal flicked the ball on for Tony Coluccia to head home.

The second half was only two minutes old when Poole equalised. With two goals from Richard Glennister and one from new French midfielder, Louis Rocher, Poole moved into a commanding 4-2 lead.
But Liss kept going. Coluccia and Liam Bray drove them on from midfield and, with 10 minutes left, Jon Noble beat two defenders and crossed for Neal to score with a 20-yard volley.
Liss wasted two clear-cut chances to equalise. Neal shot wide from 10 yards and Russell Smith, with only the 'keeper to beat, blasted just past the post.

But Liss, playing their fourth game in eight days, tired in the second half and now it was Petersfield right on top. They drew level with two excellent goals, while Liss hit the woodwork through Michael Barrow.
